In the Spanish league game against Valencia, Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal left the field and will miss at least the first leg of the Champions League 1/8 final against Atalanta.
According to Real Madrid’s official website a medical examination has revealed a thigh muscle injury, with the tendon affected.
An exact recovery time frame has not been reported, but Carvajal will be out of action for a month and a half, according to AS.
If such a pessimistic prognosis is correct, then Carvajal will miss the Spanish league games against Valladolid (February 20), Real Sociedad (March 1), Atletico (March 7), Elche (March 14) and Celta (March 21). Dani will also not play in the Champions League 1/8 finals against Atalanta (24 February and 16 March).
He has played in 12 games this season, making four assists and the game against Valencia was the first for the Real Madrid defender since January 2.
