PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has spoken out about the contract extension for forward Kylian Mbappe. “I’ll be straightforward: Kylian will stay in Paris, we will never sell him, he won’t leave for free either. I never reveal details to the press, but I can say that negotiations are progressing well. I hope we find a compromise,” Al-Khelaifi told L’Equipe.
“This is Paris, this is his country. He doesn’t just want to be a player, but also to promote the French championship, his country, his capital. He’s a great guy and a great athlete. He is one of the best footballers at the moment and he will win more than one Ballon d’Or in the future, I am 100% sure of that.”
“He has everything to extend his contract with us. But where will he go? Which clubs, if we talk about ambition, about the project, are now able to compete with PSG?”
