Lequipe reported that PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi was acquitted of fraud in the sale of rights to broadcast matches of the 2026 and 2030 World Championships.
Another accused who received 120 days of probation was former FIFA Secretary General Jerome Valcke.
“After four years of baseless, far-fetched accusations, and constant attacks on my reputation, the justice system has decided to fully exonerate me. The court decision is a real victory,” Al-Khelaifi said at the end of the trial.
The Swiss prosecutor’s office accused Al-Khelaifi of provoking Valcke to malpractice.
For the PSG president, they requested a 28-month prison term. As the head of the television group beIN Media, Al-Khelaifi was involved in this case.
