PSG moves to semi-finals despite losing to Bayern

Bayern Munich bids farewell to the UEFA Champions League after defeating Paris Saint-German in the return leg of the quarter-finals. PSG moves to semi-finals, thanks to the away goals rule. In a magnificent battle of the second leg between the sides that contested last year’s final played in the quarter-finals and the winners from last season lost their trophy.

Despite a 1-0 second-leg loss to Bayern Munich at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday, Paris Saint-Germain reached the semifinals of the Champions League on away goals. PSG had defeated the Munich club in the first leg of the quarter-finals with a 3-2 win.

In the 78th minute, Mbappe finally broke through Neuer after finding himself in a convenient situation. However, the referee correctly failed to acknowledge the goal as the Frenchman was offside.

The Bavarians took the win against the Parisians in the quarter-finals but failed to book their place in the last fours. PSG moves to the semi-finals and will face either Borussia Dortmund or Manchester City, with the latter holding a 2-1 advantage going into Wednesday’s second leg in Germany.
