Premier League will not approve Project Big Picture

Regarding the proposals of Liverpool and Manchester United to reduce the number of teams in the tournament, the English Premier League made a statement.

The league statement notes that the Project Big Picture will not be approved by either the Premier League leadership or the Football Association of England (FA).

The project proposed reducing the Premier League to 18 teams and canceling the League Cup and the English Super Cup.

The shareholders of the Premier League agreed that 20 teams will continue to play in the championship.

All members of the league will work on a development strategy and the organization of a competitive and sustainable football pyramid.
