West Ham surprised Chelsea 3-2 in their English Premier League match on Saturday, aided by a decisive goal from substitute defender Arthur Masuaku. Chelsea took control of the first half, but West Ham dominated after the break to beat the Blues. Mason Mount sent the ball to Thiago Silva from a corner and he scored in the 28th minute to open Chelsea’s account in the football match.
Meanwhile, West Ham were awarded a penalty and Manuel Lanzini converted the penalty in the 40th minute to bring the team back into the match. However, European champions Chelsea continued their scoring streak and in the 44th minute, Mason Mount converted a long pass from Hakim to give Chelsea a 2–1 lead in the first half.
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel fielded star striker Romelu Lukaku in the second half, but he could not make his mark. After the interval, West Ham’s team played more aggressively and got the advantage of it in the form of two goals. In the 56th minute, Jarrod Bowen scored from inside the box to bring West Ham back into the match and level the score at 2-2.
In the 75th minute, Arthur Masuaku, with the help of Antoine, smashed Chelsea’s defence, scoring a goal as West Ham went 3-2 in the match. The Chelsea striker continued to try to score after this, but he did not succeed. Chelsea’s team has scored more than one goal for the first time this season.
