Premier League Recap: Tottenham beat Watford, Burnley and Leeds draw

In the English Premier League third round played on Sunday, Tottenham defeated Watford while Burnley played a draw with Leeds as we record the recap of both the matches. In another Premier League match, Manchester United defeated the Wolves with a 0-1 match score.

Tottenham hosted Watford at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday for the third Premier League round. Spurs winning team finally had Harry Kane included in the starting eleven against Watford.

From the very first minute, the game got aggressive and it didn’t take long for the referee to show the first yellow card within half an hour after the starting whistle. Son Heung-min scored the only goal of the match just three minutes before halftime. Son netted his 72nd goal in 200 Premier League appearances he has made so far.

In the second half Spurs also had chances to double the score with Dele Alli and Harry Kane’s attempts but were unsuccessful. Nuno Espirito Santo’s men secured another three points claiming first place in the standings.

Meanwhile, in another EPL match, Burnley failed to win their first match of this season after conceding a late equalizer from Leeds’ Patrick Bamford just 4 minutes before the final whistle with the two sides sharing a point.
