Amid rising cases of coronavirus infection the Professional Footballers’ Association of England (PFA) has appealed to all England players.
A letter has been received by footballers urging them to follow the anti-coronavirus protocol.
Players have also been told to follow official guidelines and to stop hugging while celebrating goals, reports The Times.
Serious outbreaks of the coronavirus have recently occurred at Fulham, Manchester City and Aston Villa.
Because of this, the Cottagers’ games against Tottenham and Burnley and the Citizens’ match against Everton in the EPL have been postponed indefinitely.
The increase in the number of people infected with the new type of coronavirus, which has led to a third nationwide lockdown in the United Kingdom, has put some of the FA Cup matches due to take place this weekend in doubt.
