Pirlo: Juventus want to be in the race until the end

Juventus head coach Andrea Pirlo has expressed his thoughts about the 3-0 win over La Spezia in the Italian Serie A match.

“The slow start was more about physical fatigue than mental. It happens when you play a lot of games with the same players,” Pirlo said to Sky Sport Italia.

“We tried to control the game and then when fresh players came on board, we were sharper and managed to make the most of our chances.”

“We have a great team, but unfortunately I can’t make as many substitutions as I want lately. We could have done more to rotate the lineup and fresh things up with purposeful reshuffles as the game went on.”

“The gap is just the points that separate us. We know the chase will be long. Inter have been playing with this line-up for two years now, they have a perfectly practiced approach, while we only started this season. But we want to be in the race until the end.”
