Andrea Pirlo clarified his immediate picks and tactics in his Juventus debut against Sampdoria.
“Dialogue with players is significant, as I was a player until a few years ago, and I always liked to speak to them. It’s crucial everyone knows what they want and think,” Pirlo told as quoted by Football Italia.
“It has been a good first half, a shame that we have not scored more than one goal. Our fitness levels fell near the end, but all situations, including the Sampdoria counter-attacks, were kept sharp and we controlled.”
“It would take time to bring together all the different styles of playing. I don’t really want to copy and paste ideas from others, I’ve got my own ideas and I want to evolve from the teams that motivated me.”
“We haven’t had a lot of time since the pre-season began late and they went gone on international service afterward. We had just one pleasant too, but it was a good debut and we’ll keep working on it.”
“We have four central midfielders who play in a two-man midfield best in my opinion. If we’re trying to use that scheme, defending with four defenders, so we’re sort like a three plus two in the attack.”
