Carles Perez, a Roma winger is still confused and ‘does not understand’ why he had to leave Barcelona but said he was ‘happy’ at the Olimpico.
Perez scored his first Roma goal against Gent in the 32nd round and Paulo Fonseca’s men are preparing to face Seville in the last 16 of the Europa League.
Perez has again said he’d been sold against his will to the Italian capital.
“I don’t understand why I left. Maybe the club needed money, but I don’t know the reason,” Perez told EFE. “I don’t think I deserved to leave.”
“Since I was an academy player, I had offers to leave Barcelona. But I always said no because I wanted to play in the first team.”
“However, this is now in the past, and I’m happy at Roma.”
Since Perez joined in he has played 16 times in all competitions for La Lupa, adding two goals and three assists.
