Pep Guardiola, Manchester City head coach made remark about the challenges the team faces under tight deadlines.
“The problem is that the players are losing the joy of playing football. It used to be nice to play one or two games in a week with spectators in the stands. Now three days pass and you are back on the field,” said Guardiola to Daily Mail.
“We will go to Porto for the win and then get ready for Fulham.”
“It’s not about rotation. Players who don’t make mistakes, like John Stones in defense, deserve to go out on the field more often.”
“The goals in the match against Burnley helped us, especially Riyad Mahrez, of course. Gabriel Jesús has to score. Sterling has to score when he enters the field.”
“They have to score more. They are here for that. The quality of the performances depends on the players themselves.”
