Pep Guardiola head coach of Manchester Cty is uncertain whether the club will purchase a replacement for striker Sergio Agüero.
Recently, the player announced his will to join another club and would leave City.
“I don’t know what will happen in the future, but with the current prices we will not buy any forward. It is impossible. We cannot afford such spending. All clubs have financial problems, we are no exception,” said Guardiola to BBC.
“As of today, the probability that we will not buy a striker for next season is higher.”
Earlier, Man City repeatedly showed interest in Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland. There have also been reports that City could buy Inter striker Romelu Lukaku or Tottenham forward Harry Kane.
