A statement dismissing Real Madrid and its status among referees in Spain has been issued by Betis coach Manuel Pellegrini.
Yesterday, Pellegrini’s Betis lost to Real Madrid with 3: 2.
The match was marked by various controversial decisions in support of the Kings, and particularly the dust was raised around the decision to award a penalty to Madrid with the result 2: 2.
“It’s hard when you play against Real, VAR and penalties,” Pellegrini said, adding:
“I like VAR, it’s very important in sports, but sometimes it really seems like it’s not making the right decisions and there are conscious omissions”, reports Mundo Deportivo.
The way Betis played the match made Pellegrini happy but in the end, his team did not have the strength to avoid defeat against the current champion of Spain.
