Papu Gomez had a strong performance in beating Lazio away

Atalanta beat Lazio 4-1 in Rome with a strong performance from Papu Gomez, in the second round of Serie A.

After a header in the home team’s penalty area, the German Robin Gosens received the ball and he nailed it to lead the guests in the tenth minute. In the 32nd minute, Atalanta scored the second goal after Gosens assisted Hans Hateboer.

The German turned the ball nicely from the side, and the Dutchman was left completely alone and accurately nailed it under the crossbar.

When Atalanta captain Alejandro Papu Gomez appeared a complete shock to Olimpica occurred in the 41st minute. A new clumsy reaction from Lazio’s complete defense brought the ball to the Argentine who received it diagonally from the right side and with the miniatures he opened the chance for a shot that ends behind Thomas Strakosha’s back.

In the 58th minute, Lazio reduced the lead to 1: 3 through Ecuadorian Felipe Caicedo. He was assisted by Sergej Milinković-Savić from the left side, it was a good ball in the middle of the penalty area, and Lazi’s attacker managed to receive it and deftly push it into the net.

The hope of the Romans lasted only three minutes as it was again extinguished by Pope Gomez. He scored beautifully after receiving the ball thrown in the left part of the home team’s penalty area. He shot powerfully and indefensibly into the opposing goal for the fantastic Atalanta 4: 1.

Lazio will play against Inter on October 4 and Atalanta will face Cagliari in Bergamo on the same day.
