Operating Officer Omar Berrada declared that Manchester City wants to elongate cooperation with coach Pep Guardiola.
Until the summer of 2021, the contract of the 49-year-old coach will last.
“The fact that Pep coaches City longer than anyone in his career already suggests how far the club has progressed in development. That means he’s happy to be here. He feels comfortable with us. Guardiola is the best coach in the world, and we want him to stay in Manchester City.”
“At the right time, we’ll talk about the contract. We hope he will extend his stay at Man City, because his contribution is huge, and it will have a long-term effect,” quotes Berrada The Athletics.
“Such conversations will be held at the right time, but our position is clear: we want him to stay. If there is a feeling that we need to plan for the choice of a substitute, we will think about it, but our priority is to talk with Pep, make sure that he is comfortable so that all circumstances contribute to the continuation of his work here.”
