Nicolo Zaniolo injured his left knee 

Azzurri’s doctor claims that Nicolo Zaniolo, Roma and Italy midfielder has sustained a severe knee injury.

The player had injured his right knee back in January and this time Italy’s Doctor Andrea Ferretti says he appears to have suffered “serious” damage to his left knee.

“It looks like a big sprain of the knee,” Ferretti said to Rai Sport.

“It’s hard to make comparisons with the other knee because they’ve both been operated on.”

“This is a sprain of some significance. He’s coming out of the long period of recovery for the other cruciate, and he’s obviously worried, as we are, too.”
