Manuel Neuer thinks Spain is one of the most prominent teams in the world, but this will not affect the final round of the UEFA Nations League group stage match.
“We will have to play against the great team, one of the greatest in the world, in a match that will determine the fate of the first place in the group,” the German goalkeeper was quoted by AS.
“We came with one-point advantage, but things can change very quickly.”
Asked how he would react if Sergio Ramos got the right to take a penalty kick after two failures with Switzerland, Manuel said: “We have met so much with Ramos and we know each other so well that I am not afraid of his penalty anyway. By the way, he has already beaten me and will probably do it again.”
“When I go out on the field, I stop thinking about some records, series, and traditions. I concentrate on the game, try not to make mistakes and strive to win. I am happy to continue to play at the highest level, enjoy the game and help my teams.”
Spain – Germany match will take place on 17 November, Tuesday. The German national team takes first place in Group A4, ahead of Spain by 1 point.
