Celtic head coach Neil Lennon’s poor performance directed the club to announce the resignation.
This was Lennon’s second time coaching Celtic. He first led the club from 2010 to 2014 before returning to the role in 2019. He has won a total of 10 trophies.
John Kennedy, Neil’s assistant, will temporarily take charge of the team.
The 49-year-old Northern Ireland international is sitting second in the Scottish league table, 18 points behind Steven Gerrard’s Rangers after 30 games.
Celtic made their 4th consecutive domestic treble in December winning all the trophies in Scotland.
