Nasser Al-Khelaifi, president of PSG: We will concentrate on winning next season

Paris Saint-Germain will definitely retain a Champions League trophy, president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has ensured despite losing in the final on Sunday.

“We are disappointed. We don’t forget that this season, we have achieved fantastic things. We lost 1-0 in the final but we could have managed 2 or 3 goals,” Al-Khelaifi told RMC Sport.

“It was really close. I’m very proud of my team and we’ve had a fantastic season here, a great competition. We had everything we needed to succeed but it’s football,” he added.

“We’re going to focus on winning next season. I promise we’re going to win the Champions League. Tonight, we believe more than ever in it.”
