After the Bundesliga match against Borussia Mönchengladbach (2-3), Bayern forward Thomas Müller gave his comments.
“In the first 30 minutes, we dominated in part because of our calmness in building the game. We tried to go into the opposition half with simple, short passes. But when we lost the ball we had a bad positioning,” said Müller after the game.
“Gladbach waited, closing down the center. They were pretty passive in the first half-hour. Unfortunately, they coolly converted both of our poor passes into goals. They didn’t have any more scoring chances.”
“We lost the ball on the attack – it’s not easy for central defenders to defend after such losses. In the second half, we began to press on, but we got too little out of that siege.”
