Some details became known from the meeting between German head coach Joachim Löw and the leadership of the German Football Association (GFA).
According to Sport1.de journalist Florian Plettenberg, at the meeting, a possible return of Bayern players Thomas Müller and Jerome Boateng to the national team was discussed, as well as Borussia defender Mats Hummels.
It is stated that Löw is now more willing to take this step, but is only ready to take it on special occasions. For example, if a large number of players on the team get injured.
It is also reported that the defeat of Spain (0:6) in the League of Nations match was not among the main topics discussed today.
Earlier, the German Football Association issued a statement expressing support for Löw and saying that he will lead the German national team in EURO-2020.
