Ending the Premier League season would be good for the sport says Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho.
The Premier League was suspended in mid-March due to the coronavirus pandemic and clubs will hold a meeting on Friday to discuss a possible sequel.
Mourinho told Sky Sports, “If we manage to play the remaining nine rounds, it will be good for all of us, both for football and for the Premier League. So even if we step into an empty stadium, it won’t be empty at all.”
At the time of the season break, Tottenham was eighth in the league with 41 points, seven fewer than fourth Chelsea, holding the last place leading into the Champions League next season.
At the top is Liverpool with 82 points, 25 more than the second Manchester City.
