Mourinho: I’m sad because Lampard got fired

In the Premier League, Lampard was ruled by poor club form where he has achieved just one victory in the last five rounds, although he conquered Luton Town in the FA Cup on Sunday.

After the victory against Wycombe in the FA Cup, Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho commented on Lampard’s dismissal.

“I’m always sad when a colleague gets fired. Frank is not just a colleague, he’s an important person in my career and that’s why I’m sad because he got fired, but it’s the brutality of football, especially modern football. When you become a coach, you know it will happen sooner or later,” Mourinho said according to the Sky Sport.

He won three English league titles with Frank Lampard as a player at Chelsea.
