Milan doesn’t want Donnarumma to depart as a free agent

Milan is willing to improve the offer for Gigio Donnarumma to extend his contract, while the player agent Mino Raiola wants a new €30m clause included in the goalkeeper’s new deal.

The Rossoneri do not want to see him leave as a free agent when the current deal between the 21-year-old and Diavoli expires at the end of the season.

According to Il Corriere della Sera, Milan is ready to pay up to €7-8 m a year to persuade the player to prolong his stay at the club.

On a €6m-a-year contract Donnarumma is currently at the Giuseppe Mezza Stadium.

The same report states that Mino Raiola, the player’s agent, intends to include a new €30m clause in Donnarumma’s new deal.

A fee that would be too low for Milan, but that would allow Donnarumma to leave if the Rossoneri were to struggle in the coming seasons to play football in the Champions League.
