Milan delighted with the transfer of Mario Mandzukic

Milan hero Zlatan Ibrahimovic admitted the youngsters ‘motivate’ him after another brace against Cagliari and is ‘happy’ about Mario Mandzukic’s arrival.

The Swede scored twice to give the Rossoneri a 2-0 win in Sardinia and revealed to Sky Sport Italia after the match that it was a difficult game.

“I had to do another one,” he said, according to Goal.com, “It took two to win. It was a difficult game.”

“I didn’t play for 57 days, I’m sorry. It can happen.”

After 74 minutes, Alexis Saelemaekers was sent off and gave Milan a scare towards the end, as Cagliari kept pushing for a comeback.

“In one less, it’s not easy to play against a team which it’s already hard to play against.”

The talisman was supported by a young attacking trident in the absence of Hakan Calhanoglu, but he said the youngsters keep motivating him to do more.

“Young people motivate me, they challenge me to see who runs more,” he added. “I don’t give up and show that I can run like them.”

“We are doing well, we are almost halfway through the championship. Now, the most difficult games are starting.”

“It will be a very tough program, but with Mandzukic, [Soualiho] Meite, I don’t know if more people will arrive.”

On Mandzukic he said: “I’m happy, we now have two that scare our opponents.”

Zlatan had previously said he believes Milan should aim to win the Scudetto and dream big, but when asked if he believes in the championship, he replied: “I believe in Zlatan.”
