Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri reveals that it wasn’t Paulo Dybala who had to play versus Lazio.
To everyone’s surprise, in the start XI, Higuain was listed initially but in the warm-up, he was pulled out to make space for Dybala.
“Dybala was having this back pain yesterday in training and that’s why he wasn’t going to begin. Gonzalo then had the same trouble after the warm-up today and Paulo felt better, so we had to risk him. At the moment we have a couple of problems up front,” the coach revealed to Sky Sport Italia.
“Often we adjust based on whether it’s easier to extend the protection of the opposition or move straight through, but it depends mostly on who’s in the strongest condition or requires a break.”
