Mauricio Pochettino watched only 25 minutes of All or Nothing

Amazon Prime show All or Nothing released on August 31 and Mauricio Pochettino, former Tottenham manager, and his assistant Jesus Perez watched only 25 minutes of the club’s documentary.

For the first time, the Argentine spoke about his view on the documentary, talking exclusively to Between The Lines, a new podcast hosted by senior football correspondent Melissa Reddy of The Independent

“With Jesus, I just saw the first 25 minutes, since that was before we left the club,” said Pochettino.

“They were right to be honest-no more, no less. It was like ‘well, we have to put that there were Jesus, Toni [Jimenez], Mikki [Miguel D’Agostino], Sebastiano [Pochettino] and Mauricio,’ but it’s not about the series.”

“We felt responsible [for getting it across the line] and it was really tough for us to say ‘yes,’ opening the door to Amazon, making them come to Tottenham at a tough time.”

“I’m sorry for Jesus because he spent hours from seven in the morning trying to help the people of the Amazon making it all work with the players, with the workers, all. I assume that after 25 minutes of watching, Jesus turned up on me once.”

“There was just a 25-minute summary of five and a half years and it was mainly to explain why we left the club. But I understand, because it’s a documentary to bring the club in a decent position and they won’t unlock Amazon’s doors and make a crisis.”

“It may have been because it seems genuine, but in a world like football, these types of documentaries are really strange. With the cameras, it’s so hard to be normal, but I think they will do what they wanted to do with this. It’s important to demonstrate the club’s facilities-the new stadium, the new training ground-that we have been so engaged in helping Daniel to design.”
