Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt has been suffering shoulder problems since November and Football Italia reports that to fix that he needs an operation.
During the 3-3 draw with Sassuolo, the shoulder started to bring problems to the Dutch defender.
The Bianconeri is also worried about the health of Matthijs de Ligt.
The young defender has been fighting with the issue for a while now and that he will require surgery, reports the Corriere di Torino.
The problem needs to fix once and for all and for the same an intervention could be required so then the 21-year-old might be out before the start of next season.
The club and the player have to make a decision, with the Champions League final games and Juventus still involved.
He has been suffering since the end of the last year when he dislocated his shoulder to Atalanta and that is when the problem started.
Helping the Old Lady reach the final 16 of the competition, De Ligt has appeared 35 times in all of this term’s tournaments, including five in the Champions League.
While deciding how De Ligt will act until the season is finished, Juventus should have Olympique Lyonnais in mind, worrying he won’t recover in time for the all-important tie against Ligue 1 side.
