To prolong the loan contract of Alexis Sanchez the club still has to reach an agreement with Manchester United, confirmed chief executive of Inter Milan, Giuseppe Marotta.
In his first 18 months with United, he struggled to make an impact, later Chile’s international Sanchez spent 2019-20 at San Siro.
The Nerazzurri are looking to extend his contract until the end of the elongated Series A campaign, though the 31-year-old has also been underwhelmed for Inter this season.
However, Marotta was frustrated by how talks with United had been panned out, while discussions with Chelsea on Victor Moses’ fellow loan are ongoing as well.
“This is a great regulatory anomaly that needs to be resolved because we are still dealing with Chelsea and Manchester United today to try to extend their loans,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
“It is not a beautiful thing. We are also dealing with Bayern Munich over Ivan Perisic.”
Previously for almost four-and-a-half-year stay, Sanchez was impressed with North London rivals Arsenal, now Tottenham Hotspur was linked to a surprise move for him.
