Goal announced the news that former Juventus forward, Mario Mandzukic is in negotiations with the Turkish giants Fenerbahce.
The 34-year-old Croatian striker was not satisfied with the seriousness of football in Qatar, thus he terminated his contract with Al-Duhail in early July.
“I reached an agreement with Al Duhail to terminate my contract by mutual agreement. I appreciate the trust and hospitality they showed me in Qatar and I wish the club all the best in the future”, Mandžukić once wrote on his Instagram.
Throughout the summer, we read speculations and media speculations about where the former Croatian national team player could continue his career. Fiorentina has long been considered the most serious suitor, the Moscow Lokomotiv of Vedran Ćorluka was also mentioned, but none of that happened.
Kosovo striker Vedat Muriqi went to Lazio and Fener sees in Mandzukic a replacement for him, Goal announced.
“Emre Belozoglu has started negotiations with the striker’s manager,” Goal writes.
