Until the transfer window closes on October 5 this summer, Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso is reportedly willing to join Inter Milan.
Blues manager Frank Lampard heavily criticized the Spaniard after his performance in Saturday’s 3-3 draw with West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League.
The 29-year-old is said to be open to leaving the club before the deadline of next week and Alonso could now struggle for regular minutes due to Ben Chilwell’s return to fitness.
Inter boss Antonio Conte is keen on a reunion with the player he managed at Stamford Bridge, while Alonso is also in favor of transferring to San Siro, according to The Times.
The three-time international from Spain was left out of the squad for Tuesday’s Chelsea EFL Cup match with Tottenham Hotspur, which saw the Blues lose on penalties.
Alonso still has a deal until June 2023 with Lampard’s side.
