Manchester United team needs to help Fernandes – Luke Shaw

Fernandes has quickly established himself as one of England’s form players since joining United from Sporting Lisbon in January 2020.

Manchester United’s squad needs to step up on the pitch to ease the strain of pressure on Bruno Fernandes, Luke Shaw agrees.

Though there have also been calls for manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to hand him the captain’s armband, the midfielder has been prolific in terms of goals and assists.

But the imaginative inspiration of Fernandes could not overcome the frailties of United, and Shaw admitted to Sky Sports that United was in danger of becoming too dependent on the Portugal international.
