Manchester United fans protest at Old Trafford against Glazer family

Manchester United fans entered Old Trafford to protest the club’s ownership of the Glazer family. The protest came ahead of United’s Premier League home game against Liverpool, which was scheduled to start at 16:30 BST.

Fans were later taken off the field before returning some. There was also a protest in front of the hotel where the joint players stayed before the match. Protests followed United’s decision to join the European Super League last month, with five Premier League club peers all withdrawing.

Referee Michael Oliver and former United Captain Gary Neville were among those whose vehicles were cordoned off as they entered the stadium. There were no problems and both were allowed by several opposing window spells.

Manchester United fans marched in thousands towards the Old Trafford stadium to protest the club’s ownership, as reported by Sky News.

Due to the epidemic fans are not able to go to the games at this time, but they have found a way to the stadium. They also began to roam around the observation points nearby. Fans have worn green and gold scarves in club colors since 1878. More than 100 fans entered the stadium and some could be seen from the protesters’ flirting windows. There were flags in the corner and a supporter was seen throwing a tripod from the interview area.

“Get out of our club.” “We want to get out the glazers,” shouted the fans as they fired rockets.

Police on the horse later fired protesters from outside the stadium, throwing glass bottles into small skirmishes. Some fans went back to the main street near the stadium, and the police formed a line to prevent them from returning.

United and Liverpool were one of six Premier League clubs trying to form a special European Super League with three clubs from Spain and Italy. Widespread protests quickly ended the project, with all six English teams withdrawing within 48 hours of the announcement.

Manchester City could win the Premier League title if United lost the planned game. United is a 20-time English champion but did not lift the 2013 trophy.
