Manchester City is reportedly locked up for winger Ferran Torres negotiations with Valencia over a potential summer deal.
Torres effectively has less than a year left on his contract with Valencia and during the 2019-20 league campaign, for the La Liga outfit, the Spaniard registered four goals and five assists.
City is supposed to lead the race for the signing of the 20-year-old, but the valuation of Torres by Valencia has allegedly hindered negotiations between the two clubs.
According to the Daily Mail, despite Torres’ contract expiring at the end of next season, the La Liga outfit is holding out at a fee of £ 40 m.
Valencia is playing hardball and has also investigated the possibility that City midfielder Yangel Herrera, who spent the 2019-20 loan campaign in Granada, will be included as part of an agreement, though reports claim that Torres is hopeful that an agreement will be reached.
