Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum is presumed to make a move to Inter Milan in the summer transfer window.
The 30-year-contract old’s situation at Anfield remains unresolved, and at the end of the season, he seems to be on the brink of leaving when his new deal ends.
Wijnaldum has been linked with a move to Barcelona, where he might reunite with former Netherlands boss Ronald Koeman, but he has also been linked with a move to Inter. Journalists in the region claim that a move to Inter is close to occurring, with the club’s sporting director Guiseppe Marotta showing interest.
Speaking to Sports Mediaset, journalist Claudio Raimond said: “It’s a low-profile and free agents market: [Guiseppe] Marotta, therefore, looks to Georginio Wijnaldum.”
Fellow journalist Sandro Sabatini also added: “Inter already have a handshake with Wijnaldum, already from last year. Then they decided to do it on a free transfer.”
