Brazilian starlet Tete has revealed the top three clubs he dreams of playing for and Liverpool is one among them.
Shakhtar Donetsk’s 20-year-old player has impressed his side in the nine league appearances he has made this season.
Reds are among his dream suitors, insisted Tete, who completed the move to Europe last year from Lucas Leiva’s former club Gremio.
However, he has also admitted that he has a special affection for Barcelona due to his love for Lionel Messi.
“I always want to make bigger leaps. It’s normal to dream from a young age to play for big teams and with me, it’s no different,” he told DAZN via Sport Witness.
“I always dream of playing for Liverpool, Manchester United, Barcelona, as I mentioned. But the special affection I have is for Barcelona.”
“It’s a team that I’ve always followed since I was little since I was a child. I used to get Barcelona shirts, Messi shirts.”
“So that passion grew every day and the affection I really have is for Barcelona.”
While earlier this year, the versatile winger also told Esporte Interativo that the Premier League is an extraordinary competition to play in.
He said: “Barcelona, Manchester United and Liverpool. Gigantic clubs with fantastic managers and an incredible number of trophies.”
“As a player, I dream of winning important titles and those clubs are incredible.
“The Premier League is an extraordinary competition, the game is played at a great pace, there are lots of great managers and great clubs.”
“I feel players have more creative freedom there.”
