Lionel Messi refused to exchange jersey with Alphonso Davies

Lionel Messi did not want to give him a jersey after Barcelona’s 2:8 defeat by Bayern in the Champions League quarter-finals, stated Canadian left-back 19-year-old Alphonso Davies.

“I asked Messi to exchange jerseys, but he turned me down. He was probably shaken. That’s OK, I hope to get him on another occasion,” said Alphonso Davies, who is brilliant this season in a Bayern jersey.

Uefa recommended not to exchange jerseys after the game, due to the coronavirus.

And while Messi rejected Davies, after the 3-0 victory against Leipzig, PSG star Brazilian Neymar exchanged jerseys with German team defender Marcel Halstenberg.
