Manchester United defender Victor Lindelöf expressed the complexities he experienced during their Week 14 match against Leeds (6-2) in the EPL.
“It’s been difficult. I’ve been suffering a lot with my back in the last couple of months, so it was important to get the treatment and recovery right,” Lindelöf said to ESPN.
“And in the match against Sheffield Wednesday I took another bad blow to my knee. It was a 50/50 situation before Leeds, but I was able to get on the pitch and play even though I was in pain. I just want to help the team. It wasn’t easy for me, but I managed to play through the pain.”
“At this club you always want to take trophies, so on Wednesday we have an important game.”
“Now the time goes quickly from game to game, so we need to properly recover and prepare well for the games. I think the depth of our squad is also very important before this period.”
“But, as I said, we want to take trophies and, of course, we want to win every opportunity and improve.”
This season the Swede has played 12 games in the EPL, scored one goal, and provided one assist.
