After achieving his “optimal level” Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski says that he wants to play until he turns 40.
Inquired whether he will continue in Bayern until the expiry of his existing contract in 2023, Lewandowski told Kicker: “It won’t be my last one. It’s a possibility to end my career at FC Bayern, of course, but I still have too many years to go.”
“I don’t think about my career-ending. I just don’t feel like 32. I feel stronger than in my 26’s. In the last few years, I have been practicing quite actively to achieve my maximum standard.”
The Bayern superstar replied asking how long he could play on for: “Probably eight years.”
