Leicester wants to elongate Сaglar Söyüncü’s contract

Leicester’s management contemplating extending central defender Сaglar Söyüncü’s deal in the next few weeks.

According to journalist Nicolo Schira, the 24-year-old Turk’s current deal runs until June 2023, but bosses of the club are ready to start negotiating a new deal on improved terms now.

The reason for that decision on Leicester’s part is the serious interest from other clubs, with which specific ones have included the Turkish centre-back on their shortlist – it is not specified.

Caglar Söyüncü has picked up two yellow cards this season, featuring for Leicester in 15 appearances in all competitions.
