Lampard on leaving Chelsea: I’m not going to speak for the management

After the Premier League 17th round match against Manchester City (1-3), Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard has spoken out on the subject of a possible sacking.

“I’m not going to speak for the management,” Lampard said at the press conference.

“I can’t give an answer on my contract, our form and results. I can only speak as a coach.”

“It doesn’t bother me. I just spoke to the team after the game about expecting a tough period. I know it doesn’t come easy.”

“A month ago people were discussing when I would be offered a new contract. The pressure remains constant. My job is to keep working and choose my players.”
