Lampard: Havertz must get fit to succeed for Chelsea

Frank Lampard is confident on Kai Havertz that he will succeed for Chelsea. 

“Kai has started various career positions, including number nine, number eight and number ten,” Lampard said at a news conference.

“He played for Leverkusen a lot on the right and I have a vision of my own going forward.”

The Blues manager believes the young German must first get up to full fitness.

“Now the key is to get him fit. Kai, he’s not in a place where we can hesitate because of the situation we are in. We need to get him fit, and it will become very clear why he’s here.”
