Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard is of the opinion that with Eden Hazard at Stamford Bridge, the impact of Christian Pulisic on Chelsea is comparable.
On Wednesday, Liverpool defeated Chelsea with 5-3 win in Premier League and Pulisic scored making an assist since coming off the bench in the second half.
Equivalent to Hazard’s first season at Chelsea in 2012-13 (nine goals and 11 assists in 34 matches), the United States International, 21, has scored nine league goals and provided four assists in 24 games.
Lampard congratulated the attacker and said the impact Pulisic had on Chelsea was similar to that of Hazard, with last year the Belgian left for Real Madrid (via Goal).
“He is hugely important. He has had that impact,” the Chelsea head coach told a news conference.
“I was here for Eden’s first year and it’s not easy to come into the Premier League, even for Eden in that first year, and adapt to the Premier League. Christian has had his moments of that.”
