Kylian Mbappe scored twice, comfortably beating Nimes, who had been down to 10 men for 78 minutes, as a much-changed Paris St-Germain side.
Mbappe rounded the keeper to slot it into an empty net in the first half before racing away to score his second to make it 3-0 to PSG.
With a close-range header, full-back Alessandro Florenzi scored after hitting the post twice.
And Pablo Sarabia, a Spaniard, who set up Florenzi, made it 4-0 late.
In the 12th minute after having caught him in the stomach with his studs, Nimes defender Loick Landre was sent off for a reckless challenge on Rafinha.
After joining the French champions this month from Barcelona on a three-year deal, midfielder Rafinha was impressive throughout and picked up an assist before being replaced in the second half.
It was a ruthless display by PSG after the sending-off, who dominated the game and had numerous chances to score-while Ander Herrera was denied in the first half from close range, Mbappe came close with a headed effort.
In their World Cup qualifying win over Peru on Wednesday, PSG was without key forward Neymar, who was left out of the squad after playing for Brazil-and scoring a hat-trick.
Despite heading late in the second half to the crossbar, Everton striker Moise Kean, who, until the end of the season, joined PSG on loan, made his debut but was unable to get on the score sheet.
