Paris Saint Germain footballer Kylian Mbappé says his dream is for France to play in the Tokyo Olympics this year. Mbappé is set for the Euro 2020 Cup, which is to be held next month.
According to the DPA report, Mbappé wants to represent his country France at the Tokyo Olympics. Mbappé said to TF1, “It is most important for us to represent the country. Everyone knows that it is my dream to join the Olympics. I hope I will be able to fulfill this dream.”
France is in Group A along with Japan, Mexico, and South Africa at the Olympics. France’s first match in the Olympics will be with Mexico on July 22.
Mbappe and world champions France are preparing for the rescheduled Euro 2020, which gets underway next month. Kylian Mbappe also helped Paris Saint Germain win the French Cup title defeating Monaco. PSG celebrated a victory of 2-0 over ASM on Tuesday evening.
“The objective is always the same – to try to win the Euros to bring happiness to the French people. We have a team which is capable of competing for it. We always want to win. If we do win it, it will bring a great deal of joy. We are going to prepare well for the tournament with the hope of going far. We will be trying to bring the trophy back to France,” added Mbappe.
