Kyle Walker claims that it is eventually up to the players on the pitch to generate and Pep Guardiola will only do too much for Manchester City.
“Clearly, Pep will deliver what he delivers to the squad and we’re listening, but I guess it’s up to us as players and what happens in both boxes,” said the England defender to Goal.
“You make a mistake in a major game like this, and you’re going to be punished, and vice versa. When they make an error in their box, as we have proven against Real Madrid, we can punish any side. Let’s hope we can reach the ground running, have a strong start to the game to keep the crowd going to really get the game going.”
With Guardiola’s team appearing 13 times over the last eight weeks, Walker hopes the City’s superior sharpness may be a telling factor since England’s football started again in mid-June.
