On the talk that Lionel Messi walks on the field instead of team pressure, Barcelona’s head coach Ronald Koeman commented.
After the match with Dynamo Kyiv in the Champions League, footage from the broadcast was spread on the social networks, where the Argentinean does not press his opponent in the last minutes.
“This is a great player. He still has many qualities and he demonstrates them. He remains a player who decides the outcome of the matches,” said Koeman to Marca.
“We are looking for a position for him where he will be dangerous to his opponent. This is important, especially for attacking actions. I see that emotionally he looks strong. He is a winner and I can see that.”
“Everybody has a difficult moment. You can catch any player when he walks on the field. But I haven’t seen it, I’m not interested in it.”
“If you take a picture of him walking on the field in the 93rd minute with a score of 2:1. The picture says nothing about a player’s work.”
