Klopp on 0-1 with Chelsea: It was an equal game and tense game, Both teams gave a lot of effort

Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp has reviewed the results of the 0-1 win over Chelsea in the 29th round of the EPL.

“It was Mason Mount’s individual skill at that moment [with the goal] that decided everything. It was an equal game, a tense game. Both teams gave a lot of effort,” Klopp told Sky Sports as per BBC.

“In the first half, they had a goal canceled out for offside. The second half also featured a dangerous counterattack. We had more good chances, Mane had a great chance, as well as others when we failed to score.”

“We didn’t play our best defense. We should do it in a different way, take into account a lot of different nuances. We conceded one goal because of a mistake. On another occasion, the opponents scored from offside. So you could say we defended well. But with such possession, you need to create more chances. Everything was good, except for the final pass.”

“Anyway, you can’t say we have problems only at home. It’s not Anfield, it’s a general problem. We have to be better in crucial situations, display our skills. We don’t always manage to do that.”

“It’s a serious blow, but not the end. We have to win football matches.”
