Juventus unveiled their new away kit for the upcoming 2021/22 season. The new kit sponsored by Adidas features a sleek design inspired by Turin’s nightlife and electronic music scene. The shirt’s black base colour is accented by linear accents that allude to the lights at the city’s nightclubs and festivals.
Adidas has used the trademark orange and pink stripes for the first time in a football shirt. The two coloured stripes are also part of the theme and create an iridescent look. The kit is made of high-performance recycled materials in keeping with the kind of environmental sustainability that has become so important in football kit design, and both the player and fan versions include cooling technology to keep the wearer cool and dry.
In March 2022, the new jersey of Juventus will be honoured at a special event, and Juve and Adidas have marked the occasion by creating a film in collaboration with Turin’s C2C Festival, the world’s leading avant-pop music event. The film will feature top talent from the Italian and British film industries.
In a friendly match against Cesena on Friday at the club’s training ground to the southwest of the city, Juve will wear the new away kit for the first time.
Adidas football designer Francesca Venturini said, “It was important for us to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Allianz Stadium with this shirt, because we know how much it means to the fans and integrating the Walk of Fame stars allows us to connect with all the people associated with the club.”
“Juventus is a club synonymous with innovation and a global leader in the world of football, which is why we wanted to include a new and unique element in this shirt, whilst remaining faithful to its tradition.”
